All of our test equipment is calibrated anually by outside specialists and the calibration is checked in-house once a month.
Portable appliances should be tested regularly to certify that they comply with the requirements of in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment, as required by the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and Health and Safety Guidance. The duty holder has the responsibility of establishing a PAT testing regime.
Our PAT testing engineers are City and Guilds qualified and use the latest portable appliance testing equipment. Any items of equipment wired directly to the fixed wiring installation will be tested by fully qualified electricians.
We offer an individually tailored service of PAT testing suited to your requirements. From simple pass/fail results through to fully computerised records and reports.
We are members of the Association for Petroleum and Explosives Administration (APEA) and our test engineers are trained to COMPEX 7 & 8 (Competence in explosive atmospheres). We offer an annual inspection of existing petrol forecourts with full certification and report.

We offer NICEIC periodic inspection reports (now called condition reports), electrical installation certificates and minor works certificates. Using the latest software we can generate certificates electronically. We also offer thermal image capture where necessary for predictive maintenance, equipment trouble shooting and verification.
Wally Mays (Contractors) Ltd will provide a full service to ensure that your emergency lighting system complies with all relevant legislations. We will test and inspect existing systems to BS5266. This standard provides information and guidance on the categories of emergency lighting systems and their suitability for premises with different occupancy. This certification is also recorded electronically and for this we use www.cliksoftware.com
We offer inspection, testing and maintenance of existing lightning protection systems. Our Test Engineers are qualified inspectors and upon completion of any lightning protection system, a Test Certificate will be provided showing compliance with, or deviations from BSEN62305. It is recommended in BS62305 that visual inspections be carried out at fixed intervals not exceeding twelve months.
